During rodeos, terrified animals - including calves as young as 4 months - are subject to unacceptable cruelty. Until rodeos are banned in Tas, at the very least, calves should be spared the cruelty of calf roping events. We're better than this.

Today is World Wetlands Day. Moulting Lagoon is one of 10 RAMSAR wetlands in Tas - & also the main site for the annual slaughter of ducks. An average of 538 ducks will be shot every single day of the 3-month season. It is time to stop the slaughter.

The emu is iconically Australian. It's on our national coat of arms, as well as the Hobart logo. However, emus once also roamed Tassie but are now extinct there. Scientists are now looking at whether they can be re-introduced to Tasmania.
