Furry friends in the festive spirit.

November 21, RSPCA Tasmania is giving pet owners the chance to mark the end of a very difficult 2020 with a fabulous portrait of their very best furry friend at the Paws ‘n’ Claws Festive Fotos.

The organisation’s CEO Jan Davis said that reaching the end of such a hard year deserved something special.

“There has been so much hardship and sacrifice in the past few months, it’s never too early to start the Christmas celebrations,” Ms Davis said.

“For many people their animal companions have been their salvation and have gotten them through those darkest days of stress and anxiety.

“They have been friend and confidante, entertainment and soul mate all in one.

“We can think of no better way to say thank you than with a beautiful photo of pets in their festive finest courtesy of Shy Wolf Photography.”

Ms Davis added that while the state was opening up, there was still a need for caution.

“The wellbeing of everyone is our primary concern, so this will be a COVID-safe event and to achieve this, bookings for the event are essential with places strictly limited,” she said.

Cost is $15 per digital image which includes a pack of delicious homemade mince pies and costumes will be available for dogs on the day.

Please contact Clare Jokuszies on 0438 892 691 or email cjokuszies@rspcatas.org.au today to make your reservation.

This fabulous event, which will be held from 10am to 4pm in Caledonian Square on Invermay Road, has been proudly sponsored by City of Launceston.
