On 27 November 2019 a Waverley woman pleaded guilty in the Launceston Magistrates Court of one count of Aggravated Cruelty. The matter was in relation to one dog, the failure to vet the dog had resulted in pain and suffering for the animal. A conviction was recorded and a prohibition order on canines was issued by the court. The order restricts the woman to not owning any dogs for a five year period, except those expressly named in the order.
