Devonport Shelter

The animals at RSPCA Devonport enjoy a wonderful and peaceful atmosphere  in the tranquil rural setting of Spreyton. This location also gives us enough space to care for animals of all shapes and sizes.  With two dedicated support paddocks, one large and one smaller for closer handling, the shelter is unique in that it can cater for limited numbers of livestock.

At any one time the shelter is also able to cater for around 30 cats and three dogs looking for new homes.

Shelter operations are coordinated by the Shelter Manager with the assistance of RSPCA staff and many loyal and hard-working volunteers including those on the Shelter Support Committee.

Regional Branch Committees around the State are comprised of RSPCA members and meet once a month. The committees discuss and develop fundraising activities and shelter projects, and are particularly active in improving the welfare of animals. They are always looking for enthusiastic people who would love to be involved with the different fundraising activities held throughout the year.

Devonport RSPCA also operates a commercial boarding establishment that contributes towards the charity work we do.
