RSPCA Shelters

RSPCA Tasmania has four branches around the State, which have been operating in their current locations for several years. The shelters are one of the most visible parts of the operations, offering a lifeline to many abandoned and mistreated animals each year. Each branch works closely with their RSPCA Inspector to care for and rehome strays, and animals that are the victims of cruelty.
The smooth running of each centre is assured by the numerous volunteers, some of whom have been committed to helping these animals for many years, and the RSPCA is extremely grateful to each and every person and business who has offered it support and assistance over the years. If you are interested in sponsoring RSPCA Tasmania, contact Kalie Parker, Fundraising Officer.
Each shelter is assisted by a Regional Branch Committee elected by its members. The committee meets monthly to discuss and organise fundraising activities and events and shelter projects.Responsibility for day-to-day affairs is delegated to the Shelter Manager.
RSPCA Tasmania State operations are coordinated through its head office which is in Launcetson. It is the base for all the Society´s statewide fundraising, education, accounting and media.
