Pet Boarding at RSPCA Launceston

Our Launceston shelter offers boarding accommodation for both cats and dogs.

All dogs must have a current C5 vaccination, and cats must have a current F3 vaccination, administered at least 7-10 days prior to boarding.  We are unable to accept any pets that do not have current vaccination records, so please bring the records with you when you check your pet in. if you are unable to find your records, please provide us with the name of your vet which may help us to determine if vaccinations are up-to-date. At busy times our kennels and cattery become fully booked very quickly, so please book well in advance of school and public holidays.

Accommodation:

Our dog boarding pens consist of an inside covered area and an outside area, each about 2.5m x 2.5.  We also have larger double pens that are approximately 2.5m x 5m, with the same area outside.  Depending on your preference, and the length of stay with us, we are able to accommodate two dogs in standard pens and three dogs in our double pens. Our cattery consists of 16 pens all with under-floor heating.  Each pen measures approximately 2.5m x 1.5m, are full height, and have an upper sleeping level with an outside window and a ramp to the lower level containing food and litter tray.  You are encouraged to bring your pet´s favourite things with them to make them feel more at home, but we do provide toys, beds, bedding and scratching posts in all pens.  You, or your family are also encouraged to visit your pets if you are able, especially if they are staying with us for extended periods. Please feel free to arrange a visit to our boarding kennels and cattery before you make a booking.

Prices:

Prices are per night and fully-inclusive (food, bedding etc).

RSPCA Members receive a 10% discount on the cost of boarding with us. Discounts may also be available for stays longer than three weeks, or for multiple pets boarding with us. Please contact the shelter for a quote.
