Cat Reading Education

Animal abuse doesn't happen in isolation. It is part of a far bigger problem of violence in our society. Research suggests there is a link between animal abuse, domestic violence, child abuse and aggressive, antisocial behaviour. Teaching children empathy for animals has shown an increase in empathy for humans.

Cat under BlanketBoarding

Are you about to set off on holiday and can't take your pet with you? Well, consider boarding your special friend at one of RSPCA Tasmania's Boarding Kennels & Catteries. Boarding your pet with the RSPCA ensures they receive the highest standard of care, and have a holiday of their own while you are away.

CatLegacy Pets

RSPCA Tasmania´s Animal Bequest Program  is a program designed to provide continued love and care for your pet when you are no longer able to do so personally.

PuppyEmergency Assistance

According to recent research, one in three women delays leaving an abusive relationship because they are worried about what will happen to their pets once they're gone. And it's a very real fear.
Fortunately a new programme in Hobart helps adults and children escape domestic violence and/or sexual assault by providng emergency assistance for those much-loved pets.

RSPCA SheltersShelters

RSPCA Tasmania has four branches around the State, which have been operating in their current locations for several years. The shelters are one of the most visible parts of the operations, offering a lifeline to many abandoned and mistreated animals each year. Each branch works closely with their RSPCA Inspector to care for and rehome strays, and animals that are the victims of cruelty.
