Dogs Die in Hot Cars

It Makes Our Blood Boil

The RSPCA continues to educate the public on the detrimental effects of leaving a dog in a vehicle during hot weather. Many don't realise how life threatening it is to leave a dog in a car during Summer. Inside a vehicle, the temperature can double in a matter of minutes, reaching up to 60 degrees Celsius. In these conditions, a dog can die in just six short minutes.

When the mercury climbs, the RSPCA urges dog owners to leave their animals at home, safe and sound, with plenty of shade, shelter and water.

Do not risk your dog's health — never, ever leave your pet in a vehicle for any amount of time. It only takes a matter of minutes for your beloved animal to die in these extreme temperatures.
