The Mornington vet clinic is now OPEN*

As of Tuesday 20 September the vet clinic will once again be open for public bookings to low income earners who hold either a Pensioner Concession Card or a Health Care Card*.

Monday: 8.30 am - 4.15 pm
Tuesday: 8.30 am - 4.15 pm
Wednesday: 2 pm - 4.15 pm
Thursday: 8.30 am - 4.15 pm
Friday: 8.30 am - 4.15 pm 

The Elsie Cameron Veterinary Clinic can provide limited veterinary services for residents in the Hobart region. Services we can provide include:

  • Vaccinations
  • Microchipping
  • Desexing
  • Dentistry
  • In-house blood testing

Our focus is on providing affordable services for those in need.
Discounts apply for concession card holders and RSPCA Tasmania members*.

We have highly trained, caring and dedicated veterinarians and nursing staff who always follow a philosophy of putting the animal first.

*Please note: A concession or membership card must be shown at the time of your appointment or discounts cannot be offered. Discounts do not apply to drugs, pathology, and certain veterinary procedures.

Whilst awaiting adoption at the Hobart Animal Care Centre, all of our animals are cared for medically by the Elsie Cameron Veterinary Clinic. At the Animal Care Centres in Launceston, Devonport and Burnie, we rely on the services of local vet clinics.

All dogs and cats awaiting adoption are fed nutritionally balanced Hill's Science Diet.

All profits generated by the Elsie Cameron Veterinary Clinic aid in funding the ongoing care of our animals. Our veterinary clinic also plays a vital role in the day to day functions of our Inspectorate, the aim of which is to prevent cruelty to animals. The Elsie Cameron Veterinary Clinic stocks a full range of flea and worming treatments, as well as Hill's Science Diet products.
