Animal Care Attendants
Volunteer Animal Care Attendants assist the full time RSPCA Animal Care Attendants, working directly with the animals in the puppy pens, cattery, quarantine and stray pens, providing a high standard of practical care to all animals. Morning and afternoon shifts are available. Because we believe that all animals have an intrinsic value regardless of species, and a number of those who come into our care have been abused or neglected, we look for special qualities in our animal carers, people who are able to give that extra dimension of love and care to the animals we look after.
Duties include:
- cleaning kennels, pens and cages
- dog walking
- animal socialisation
- laundering animal items
- changing bedding
- cleaning vehicles
- preparing food and feeding the animals in care
