Happy Homes Stories
Everyone loves to hear stories from human and animal companions that keep us up to date with how former RSPCA Tasmania friends have settled into their new lives. Email or write to us, and we´ll try to share your story with others.
Here are just a few of the lovely stories submitted by you!
Delta
Hello. My name is Delta and I was adopted from the Northern RSPCA in September 2003. I love my new life and home, and I have so many friends here. My friends include three dogs, cows, chooks and another cat (he´s very old, but I love to play with him). I know I am a very spoilt kitten, but my owner tells me I deserve it! I love to be outside on my farm, playing with all my friends. I can tell my new family just adores me! (Delta Clarke, Westbury, Tasmania - age: Four years)
Popeye
G´day. My name is Popeye and it´s been about two months since I was adopted, so I thought you might like to see me with my new big brother and sister. I am happy here. (Popeye Lewis, Launceston, Tasmania, April 2003)
Furgus
Hello. my name is Furgus, a ginger tom cat from the North! In Octobr 2002, when I was six months old, I was lucky to be adopted from the RSPCA in Launceston. I now have a great pad at Rosevears! My human pets are still keeping me inside cos they think I might run off - Hell no! Not if I keep getting plenty of cuddles and Red Snapper for supper! Just trying to up my street cred... I headbutted the window trying to catch a bird....oops. I´d made such a good impression with my battle scars too- my broken tail sure gets me more cuddles! Anyway better go... lots to explore in my new home! Life´s just purrrfect! (Furgus Butler, Rosevears, Tasmania)
Marlon
My name is Marlon and I was found on the Glenorchy tip when I was just a few days old. My tail had to be amputated because it got chewed by a rat or seagull.I was raised by Kae at the Hobart RSPCA Shelter. Thank you Kae!
I am now about three months old (in May) and I have a new home! I went to the Hobart Million Paws Walk as a VIP (Very Important Puppy).
