The Launceston Animal Care Centre has been operating from its current site at Remount Road, Mowbray for around 15 years.The site also includes the Launceston City Dogs´ Home (Pound), which the RSPCA operates on behalf of the Launceston City Council.

If you lose your dog in the Launceston area, your first call should be to the RSPCA on 6332 8282.

The Launceston Animal Care Centre has accommodation for around 60 to 70 dogs and a similar number of cats.

Care Centre operations are coordinated by the state-wide Operations Manager, assisted by the Care Centre Manager, 10 RSPCA staff and 30 loyal and hard-working volunteers.

Adoption Prices:
Cats and kittens $180 (includes free Bronze membership)
Dogs and puppies $250 (includes free Bronze membership)
Rabbits, Guinea Pigs, Ferrets etc., by donation (includes free Bronze Membership) 

All pets adopted from RSPCA Launceston are desexed, vaccinated, wormed and microchipped. Dogs adopted to families living in the Launceston City Council area must be registered prior to adoption.
