Burnie

The Burnie RSPCA was formed in 1951, but has only been operating at its present site since 1982.

The Burnie Animal Care Centre is centrally located on a main thoroughfare in the middle of a busy shopping centre, and offers its own on-site Thrift Shop.

Care Centre operations are coordinated by the state-wide Operations Manager, assisted by the Care Centre Manager, RSPCA staff and many loyal and hard-working volunteers including those on the ACC Support Committee.

The Burnie Animal Care Centre has capacity for approx 40 cats/kittens for adoption with assorted pens for rabbits, birds and other small animals should the need arise.

Stray dogs are referred to the Burnie Dogs´ Home.
